How did your club get started? When?
In 2013, My wife, Megan and I were on a flight back from racing the Queen Lili’uokalani Canoe Race in Kona. On that flight we came up with the idea to create Kai Pana.
What is the goal/mission of this club?
Kai Pana’s mission is to perpetuate outrigger paddling in the Pacific Northwest by adopting and implementing teachings and methods found in Hawai’i and Tahiti.
Anything else you would like share?
We are officially in our 10th year of existence this year and look forward to an awesome Spring and Summer of canoe racing!
