KIRA #1. Makai Pier to Kailua
SUNDAY January 05, 2020. 10:00 a.m. start
Divisions: OC-6, OC-3, OC-2, OC-1, Surfski, SUP, Prone paddleboard, V-1
Long course: 8 miles. Makai Pier (around Rabbit, Mokulua and Flat islands) to Kailua Beach Park
Short Course: 5 miles. Waimanalo Beach Park to Kailua Beach Park

KIALOA  Competition: Single canoe (OC1 or V1) long course 64 + division. Male and Female

Pre-registration: If you haven’t purchased the season package, cost is $38.00 ($18.00 for Juniors 18 and
under) online at www.flpregister.com until Friday midnight Jan. 03.

Late registration on race day: $45.00. NOTE: Race day check in at WAIMANALO BEACH PARK, BY CANOE HALAU: 7:00AM--9:00AM
NEW INSURANCE PROGRAM: Every paddler is encouraged to “join” the ACA (American Canoe
Association). The cost is $25.00 for the 2020 year and it covers your insurance for all KIRA events,
and any other ACA insured event in the nation. Go to

INDIVIDUAL” to effect your 2020 membership today. Otherwise it will cost $5.00 each race in
addition to entry fees.
Race anything you want, but if you have a Surfski, this is the day to bust it out!
$650.00 Purse for Surfski long course. 1st – 3rd male and female, plus hotspot
bonus for the 1st male and female paddlers to reach the end of Rabbit Island.
