The SUP Safety Belt is MTI's Smallest Type III Belt Pack. There are pros and cons to Inflatable PFDs so it's important to understand these. Advantages include comfort for continuous use in hot weather, least bulky of all designs, good flotation when inflated, and single point indicator for complete inflation system status. The disadvantages: In most emergencies, the PFD must be placed over the head after inflation in the water to provide adequate floating position for survival. It will not float without inflation and it needs proper re-arming and maintenace to float you after use. Inflatable PFDs are not for use where water impact is expected as when waterskiing, riding personal watercrat of white water and are not recommended for people who can't swim.
