An injury to my left arm this summer put me back in touch with a past love. My mountain bike. I start my rides before morning light and see the day awaken as I move down the trails. One of my favorite loops takes me past the log where I sat with Syd on her last day. Though it has been 2 years since her passing, I still think about her everyday. And, I pause at the log seat most mornings and welcome the day with my dog.
