BREMERTON — Lance Kahn of Tracyton could often be spotted paddling swiftly around Puget Sound in his outrigger canoe, and Tuesday afternoon was no different.
But for reasons unknown, Kahn, 64, owner of the Marine View Beverage company and a stellar athlete all his life, didn’t make it home that night, leading to an intensive search by local authorities and the U.S. Coast Guard.
