A standup paddleboarder was attacked by a tiger shark on Saturday off the Big Island of Hawaii. According to CBS News, the victim remains hospitalized today with injuries to one of his arms and a loss of part of one leg.
The victim was paddleboarding with his father at Kukio Beach near Hualalai when the duo were knocked off their boards by the shark, as reported by CBS News. The victim's name has not been released, but reports say that he is believed to be in his 20s and is a resident of Kukio Golf and Beach Club.
