This past weekend Mission Bay was packed with paddlers. Competitors showed up with a varied assortment of crafts to compete in the Hanohano Challenge. The 5 mile course around Mission Bay proved to be challenging and a ton of fun for all.

This past weekend, Standup Journal’s team photographers, brothers Glenn and John Dubock, got cabin fever and headed down to the infamous Hanohano Huki race event on Mission Bay in San Diego, CA.

The Hanohano Huki Ocean Challenge is one of the Longest Running Paddlesport Races in California (OC-1, Surfski, Traditional Paddleboard, Standup Paddleboard and Kayak) and always includes a great mix of top level professional athletes and beginners from ages 7-80.
