            We know it is all about the perfect wave when surfing. How do we find it? What do we look for? How do we anticipate finding that wave that is going to give us the best bang for our buck? Going early to avoid the onset of offshore wind is a big help and if you wait too long, you might experience onshore wind. It is best to head out early to avoid the wind all together.             If every wave coming ashore was perfect, the sport of surfing as we know it would be much different. Contest judges would have to rethink scoring, and amateurs and beginners' skill levels would have a linear growth.
