2017 Kanaka Ikaika Racing Series Is Underway

Since 1976, Kanaka Ikaika Racing Association (KIRA) has been organizing paddlers for fun and competition to enhance and promote ocean sports in Hawaii. The 2017 KIRA Racing Series is underway and runs from January through May. Races include the Molokai Challenge from Molokai to Oahu, Moku Manu Hoe Wa’a in August and the second annual Na Wahine Ikaika in October.

KIALOA is pleased to be a Sponsor for the 2017 KIRA Race Series.  The KIALOA Challenge provides a custom KIALOA paddle to the winner of a select division for each race.  A different division will be chosen each race, with a male and female winner. Divisions will be named on race day and chosen based on division turnout.

KIRA #1Pacific Paddler Makai to Kailua took place this past weekend and included eight divisions and two courses. The division chosen for the KIALOA Competition was for OC1 female 30-39 and male 40 division. We are happy to announce the winners of the KIALOA Competition:
